Burnaby Lake Field Hockey Minis have just completed their first junior season with a new coaching staff. It was a whirlwind of a season for our Minis who were able to get out 22 dedicated young players every week for practice. BLFHC Minis had one exhibition game during the season to put their skills to the test and our girls came out triumphant over the rival Tri-Cities team. The team entered the Club India Tournament in June and—between great tackles, breath-taking breakaways, and many giggles—it was the perfect way to showcase how far these young athletes have come since the beginning of the season. To cap off the successful season, the BLFHC Minis hosted a Players vs. Parents practice where the girls taught their parents some basic field hockey skills and engaged them in the match of a lifetime.
