The Burnaby Lake Field Hockey Club offers a U10 Program for children (boys and girls)  between the ages of 7 and 9 to get involved in Field Hockey. This program is an introduction to field hockey using a shorter field, smaller nets, and modified rules to accommodate the skills of the children just learning to play.  Game play is 8 v 8 (7 players and a goalie) on a half-field, to encourage developmental game play and skill development.  Some of the rules of field hockey are introduced, including fouls and goalies. This program's focus is on building the fundamental skills of field hockey and foremost fun.

Dates: Practices start April 1 - end on June 15.  Games start tbc. (No league games over Easter and May 20 long weekend).

Location: Cariboo Secondary School Turf Field

Practice: Mondays 6:30-8:00pm

Games: Saturdays 9am or 10am at Cunnings Field in Coquitlam 

Teams: Approximately 12 players

Uniform: Players will be provided with a uniform and socks with registration. Please wear black shorts.

Cost: $150 Early Bird (before February 7, 2024)  

          $250 Regular Fee (after February 8, 2024)

          New Players receive Early Bird rate
