Coaches
- a key to the success of our club. BLFHC prides itself by
having great coaches who volunteer their time to teach the game of
field hockey to our athletes.
Coaches' Code of
Conduct
- The
laws of field hockey should be regarded as mutual agreements, the
spirit of which no one should try to evade or break.
-
Visiting teams and
spectators are honoured guests.
-
No advantages should
be sought, except those of superior skill and effort.
-
Officials and
opponents should be regarded as honest in intention.
-
Officials' decisions
should be accepted without appearing angry ( no matter how
unfair).
-
Winning is desirable,
but winning at any cost defeats the purpose of the game.
- Coaches should always
conduct themselves in a professional manner.
- Coaches should always
display a level of respect with athletes, umpires, and
parents.
-
Coaches should be
encouraged to attain Coaching Certificates, as required by
FHBC.
